9 Lidé byli ožehnuti velikým žárem a proklínali Boha...

Zatímco v Indonésii jsme nedávno viděli silné zemětřesení, (nejen) Evropu už zhruba měsíc (!) stíhají extrémně silné nárazové deště, četné bleskové povodně a k tomu silně nadprůměrné teploty. Obojí extrémně neobvykle dlouho trvající… Následující anglické titulky z Twitteru, jsou velmi výstižné:
Unusually warm weather for November will continue for much of Europe… More rain for Italy… Very warm weather across parts of Europe just does not want to end…

Jak správně interpretovat mapy anomálií?
Incredible warmth for November. Let’s be clear though. The anomaly maps are often incorrectly interpreted.
This compares the predicted temperature at ~1.5km above sea level to what we consider normal, a 30-year average. You can see if an airmass is cooler or warmer than normal.

Počátek listopadu 2018 v Evropě
The SW European upper low pushes towards western Mediterranean, bringing much colder airmass into Spain, Portugal and Morocco. A new deep trough develops over the N Atlantic. A strengthening upper ridge is centered over the Baltic region and brings an extremely warm airmass into the mid-levels; more than 16 °C warmer than usually for early November!
Very warm weather across parts of Europe just does not want to end. An extreme warmth is expected across the Balkan peninsula and eastern Europe on Saturday, Nov 3rd:https://t.co/ggPbEwTXYH
